Anticipation

The forsythias were the first bush to bloom this spring, and they were beautiful! The bush blooms even before it gets leaves. Here are a few in our neighborhood. All flowers have meanings attached to them, and the forsythia means anticipation!

“All the earlier troubles, chaos, and pain are things of the past, to be forgotten. Look ahead with joy. Anticipate what I’m creating: I’ll create Jerusalem as sheer joy, create my people as pure delight.”

Anticipation is a good meaning for this lovely spring plant, it heralds the start of new growth. Lovely pictures.

Ginny, All the photos are so brilliant. I love the truck photo and the photo with the flag displayed. Thanks for telling us the symbolism of this plant - a perfect one - anticipation of spring! Have a nice day.

Wow.....the forsythia is in full bloom and I might add.....it is truly beautiful. I like the photo of the forsythia bush at the cemetery! However...the bright yellow in each photo is outstanding...

They are just right to be the first to bloom in the spring , after winter we so need the bright color.

I have seen this about, but not this pretty. I do not have a bush, but may get one after seeing these. I like them all, but the first is my favorite.

What an appropriate name, I had no idea that was the meaning of forsythia. It's so true, they come so early, they're like a promise of spring!

They are so brilliant, especially because most other plants are still dull and lifeless at that time.

so pretty. I'm not so sure my forsythia is going to do so well this year. The blooms were only in a few spots and only near the bottom. I see some leaves starting but it's not looking good

Hi Ginny, What a cheery post! I enjoy Forsythia but it does not grow here where I live now. I miss it as we did have it up in Tennessee. Florida is too hot and sticky and wet. Oh well. Have a tremendous Mother's Day tomorrow!

Dear Ginny, I did put a whole lemon without the skin in the drink. I really enjoyed it. It was very refreshing.
I hope that you have a wonderful Mother's Day! Enjoy and many blessings for you and your family.
