Mullein

The Mullien is in bloom here, and there is a lot! In Ireland, it was used as a remedy for T.B. It was mixed with nicotine and smoked to help asthma. It is said to help many, many other ailments. And the thick, soft leaves were used to line shoes for extra warmth!

Here is a Mullein rainbow!

Do you have any Mullein nearby?

“Soon a lot of people from the nearby villages walked around the lake to where he was. When he saw them coming, he was overcome with pity and healed their sick.”

How pretty. I don't think I've ever seen this plant before. It's funny hearing that they mixed this with nicotine and smoked it to help asthma.

none here and I have never seen any that I remember. I love that last photo.. the view behind the flowers is so special.. I have never heard of leaves in shoes but now that I read this, sounds like a good idea.. it seems the people who lived before all our new fangled boots and socks, managed to live well with what they had.

Sorry, not familiar with this plant. I would love some leaves for warmth tho. I cannot handle cold weather. Thank you for being so kind and visit me often.

They're gorgeous blossoms!!! I've seen these before but didn't know their name. Now, thanks to you I will remember it.
Love the rainbow in the backdrop.

Sorry I haven't visited in so long, we've had sporadic power outages and I figured I'd catch up while on my phone today, instead.
