They don't give the kid's very much time to eat. and since we talked a lot, poor Dara had to really hurry to finish! This is why she is chewing in all the pictures! Kind of funny.
On our way out, I spotted this in the office. It looks like it was carved from one piece of wood. All the staff were busy, so I did not get to find out anything about it!

So thoughtful of the school to set aside a special day to honor grandparents. More school should follow too. That is a nice wood sculpture.
My first time hearing Grandparents day..its so good for the school to teach them to appreciate their grand parents
School lunch times are shot and time in the halls is so limited that the kids just carry all of the books with them from class to class. I am glad you got to go visit school.
So wonderful that you got to be there for her on grandparents' day! Dara is beautiful!
I remember and loved grandparents day - when they wanted to see you! That might be the school mascot someone carved?
They should've extended the lunch hour for the special day.
Precious times, precious memories.
Neat wood carving.
I am so happy you got to go celebrate.

I was thinking the same thing as Anni. They could have extended lunch time for the occasion
That is so special, to be able to go to school and have lunch with your granddaughter.
A special day and a lovely tradition to have a Grandparents Day at school. Dara is a beautiful child. Love that one of the two of you. Pretty mums and a fun looking rooster.
Such a sweet day! I know she loved having you there - more than eating her lunch!
I am glad you got to go visit school.
