Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?

As we were driving down the road, this group of chickens tried to cross in front of us. Then a dog barked, and sent them scurrying back. But I thought their black and white pattern was so pretty. Especially the rooster's big beautiful tail!! At the bottom are some answers about why the chicken really did try to cross the road.

DR. SEUSS
Did the chicken cross the road?
Did he cross it with a toad?
Yes, The chicken crossed the road,
But why it crossed, I've not been told!

BARBARA WALTERS
Isn't that interesting? In a few moments we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart-warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting and went on to accomplish its life-long dream of crossing the road.

CAPTAIN KIRK
To boldly go where no chicken has gone before.

BILL GATES
I have just released eChicken 2003, which will not only cross roads, but also will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook - and Internet Explorer is an inextricable part of eChicken.

I'm a skeptic who never believed a chicken ever crossed a road. =)

Two of my neighbors have chickens. So I get to look at the cuties and I get eggs from time to time. This is one pretty rooster!!! Hugs, LJ

It was my job to water the chickens. It was not fun and I wasn't monitored very well. I think they did survive a lot on their own anyway but as an adult I would have taken better care of them. I like the colors of these chickens.
