Rust Never Sleeps

No, rust never sleeps, it keeps getting reused. At a local museum, we saw this display of old toy trucks that had been turned into lamps.

What do you think this one is? Phil said if you turn it sideways, it looks like a rabbit.

And here we are looking in this mirror. The frame is more toy trucks, license plates, and locks.

“If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.”

1 Corinthians 13

That is a very nice photo of you and Phil in the mirror! Great idea recycling the rusty toy trucks into lamps. Priceless items!

How unique and a good way to recycle these old toys. No clue what that third one is.

this post might win the award for strange things you have found. what a great idea and you found it to show us. I would never ever think of making lamps from toys or a frame for a mirror. but I love them all.... keep on the hunt, I am waiting

What a neat thing to do with old rusty toy trucks... I think I recognize some of those trucks --since I'm pretty old and rusty myself. ha ha

Happy Thanksgiving to you.

I am thankful for YOU.

Hugs,
Betsy

I think it is interesting what some people do with rust - but don't think I would buy one! lol

I love these rusty toys & their repurposed uses! Now I wish I had kept my sons old toys to try this!

It is interesting how people use even old rusted toys and turn them into something of value.

I wondered if anyone that read this would mention the title of the post...wonder if any one knows that that is a Neil Young album! I bet to go buy some of those toys would be really expensive!

Great verse. I really like the reuse of old cars and trucks. Original artworks so to speak.
