Asters

The wild Asters are in bloom now. There are 180 species of them! They belong to the Sunflower family. These really made me smile.



In these next two pictures, notice how the newly blooming petals are all curled up like curling ribbon!


I was not the only one interested in them, either. I will show you in my next post!

They are pretty. The petals on the ones that are just blooming do resemble curling ribbon all curled up like that.

they are gorgeous and I cant wait to see if it is a butterly or a humming bird or something else that they draw to them... love the color...our Susans are still blooming, 7 right now, can't believe it
