Handouts

Take a walk with me through the Botanical Garden.

Look, I see a bench! How hand-y.

Let's go and sit down.

What are these shadows under the bench?

They are made from the cutouts on the bench seat. Now that we are sitting, we can admire all the hands waving at us.

“Can a mother forget the infant at her breast,
walk away from the baby she bore?
But even if mothers forget,
    I’d never forget you—never.
Look, I’ve written your names on the backs of my hands.

I like the bench and the hands up that take the place of colourful flowers. The back of the chair has a tree design.

that chair is amazing, so is the last photo of the shadows. so bright and cheerful with all those waving and welcoming hands...it looks like when they were making those hands, things got a little out of hand...

Always fun to see what you found for the day. We have so much interesting things here but too many freeways for to get out on.

I enjoyed our little walk and chat on that pretty bench. You picked a wonderful verse to add to this post.

Ginny, to answer your question on what kind of flower...
We were at the High Hand Nursery and the sign said
Hellebores ( Sp.??)
They had so many of different shades.

I love that bench with the tree, we have an identical one in one of our local gardens. The hands are whimsical and very cheery.
