The Wreath

Yesterday there was a knock at the door. It was our next door neighbor, and she brought us this Easter wreath. She said it had belonged to her mother and she would like it to have a good home. We are good neighbors to each other, but I had not known her mom had died! She left quickly and did not want to talk. I will have to think of a way to thank her, and at least catch up and ask about her mom.

It's a beautiful wreath!!
Funny how we are unaware of things even when we live close by. That happens to all of us. Perhaps people are grieving privately for a time....

What a beautiful wreath and how sweet that she gave it to you. I don't socialize with my neighbors and usually hear things through the grapevine lone after they have happened.

it really is beautiful. I don't use wreaths at all, but this is one I really like. I am sure she would rather a friend have it than be donated to a thrift store... he picked the perfect person to give it to.

What a colorful and beautiful Easter wreath! I'm sorry your neighbor's mom passed away. The wreath sure got a good home. She must be very glad that you have her mom's wreath.

I used to have a wreath for every holiday AND season. They took too much room so I donated them. Now, seeing this festive Easter theme, I am inclined to make one. LOVE the Spring colors

Oh Ginny, what a beautifully dainty wreath and an equally beautiful sentiment behind it. Your poor neighbor... I understand her sadness and also her inability to want to talk about the death of her Mom. Give her time. When her wound is healed a bit, she will be able to speak to you about her. In the meantime, perhaps a nice letter to her will be a good way to thank her & tell her how you feel. Love, Andrea xoxo

That is special on so many levels. It is a beautiful wreath, you obviously have a very thoughtful neighbour and it will be a great reminder of this special lady.

So nice of your neighbour to give you this pretty wreath with colourful eggs. Hope one day, your neighbour will be open to talk to you about her mother.

How very sweet that she thought of you Ginny. I am so sorry her mother passed away. She will probably feel more like talking the next time you meet and will welcome a listening ear.
