The Grapes

We live amid a whole lot of vineyards. Grapes grow everywhere here, all kinds. We are also near the infamous Trump Vineyards. Here is just one vineyard we drove by. Did you know the vines are curly and grow rather horizontally?

“And when you cut the grapes in your vineyard, don’t take every last grape—leave a few for the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow.”
Deuteronomy 24

The best part is seeing the bunches of grapes hanging from the vines.

My father, the one who loved to garden, grew grapes. So, yes I knew how they grow. I like the red seedless best. What's your favorite?

Great pictures Ginny.

I buy a bag of grapes every week, and had no idea you had grape vineyards in your town. they are beautiful, I love the twisted vines and limbs. Daddy had grapes in Savannah, right now the name escapes my memory. I loved to stand under and eat. isn't that comment a shocker?? ha ha…

Grape vines grow where ever they can find something to cling to I think. I know at work the Mrs. had some and they grew up taller and overhead...

These are pretty...

What an amazing sight! When I buy grapes and these large clusters, I often imagine what it would be like to see them hanging on the vine.

They do look very unique! I don’t think I’ve seen such curly and horizontally growing vines!

Love the weathered look to the twisted branches. We have many vineyards around us too.
The grapes are so inviting.
Great shots.

There was a grape vineyard very close to the house I grew up in. It was sort of abandoned and everything was kind of growing wild but we would wander through and sample what we found

I had no idea either - and do they make the wine there too?

Love grapes but have never developed a taste for wine. And your post is the closest I have ever been to a well established vineyard.
