Pier 1

The Pier 1 here closed down. It did not make it, due to Covid. And they did NOT even have a closing sale!! How is your Pier 1 doing? I could count on one hand the things I purchesed there, but they still had unusual items you could not find anywhere else. I liked walking thru and looking, which is how I came to take these pictures of some of my favorite things there.

This is actually the top of a little table.

Ours is closing, too.
One day long years ago, my brother Lonnie came over to visit me at my home. He walked through the house admiring everything and then gave me the very best compliment! He said, "Linda! Your ouse looks just like Pier 1!"

Oh Pier 1, I haven't heard of this in my sister's area in Sacramento.. sad that it cannot cope up due to covid. The table top look so colorful!

I have always enjoyed shopping at Pier 1.....however, ours did not make it either. They always had so many beautiful items.

Pier 1 sounds an interesting place. I would love to walk through to look at all these beautiful items.

We don't have that in the UK but it is sad because of Covid many firms have had to close and many have no jobs now

I'm not sure if the one here closed or not. It's about 30 miles away. I don't think I ever even went in that store.
I love that table top

not sure about ours, have not been in it since i retired in 2006. i only shop to buy, but when i was working it was across the street and I strolled through it on my lunch hour. they have very nice and unique things. a fun place to kill time wishing... i do know our city is full of empty strip malls

I don't know about our store. Haven't been near one in years. In Colorado, years ago, I bought a glass windchime from there. My one & only item.

I think ours closed too. I was just like you. I loved roaming through the store but rarely ever bought anything there.

I haven't seen a Pier 1 store in ages.

I love that table top! I think our Pier 1 has been gone a long time. I did not buy much from there either but I loved to go look!

You are so right - they have lots of nice items but expensive. The one near us closed but there is one about an hour away. Love their items!

What a header that makes!!!!!!!!!

Oh those polka dot wine glasses! They are/were precious.

I never like to shop or wander in stores. So I don't know anything about such a store, or if there even was one, around here. -smile-

We live in a small town and don’t have stores like that. We do our window shopping in catalogs.

The Pier 1 around here closed a few months ago. The did have a sale but it wasn't much and I didn't buy anything. I did like their stuff, though!

I believe I have only been in a Pier 1 once and didn’t buy a thing. I agree they have unusual things, but not something I wanted to spend money on.

We don't have them in our town, but I remember decorating with things from them in my younger days in both LA and San Diego.

These three are very pretty. I am always sad to see these shops go. There wasn’t one close enough for us to visit but once in a blue moon.

Our Pier One closed too. I like that store and was sad to see it go.

Our Pier One closed down years ago, long before covid. The building is still there, and I look wistfully at it when we drive by. I didn't exactly go in there a lot when it was open, but it was nice to know that if I wanted to, I could. They had neat stuff! xoxo
