The Ship

This ship was painted on a picket fence. We passed it so fast that I only got a few shots. It was BIG and LONG, so would not all fit into one shot. So all these photos are from the same mural.

My Ship

My ship has sails that are made of silk
The decks are trimmed with gold
And of jam and spice
There's a paradise
In the hold

My ship's aglow with a million pearls
And rubies fill each bin
The sun sits high
In a sapphire sky
When my ship comes in

I can wait the years
Till it appears
One fine day one spring
But the pearls and such
They won't mean much
If there's missing just one thing

I do not care if that day arrives
That dream need never be
If the ship I sing
Doesn't also bring
My own true love to me
If the ship I sing
Doesn't also bring
My own true love to me

Pretty mural!!!

You have lots of murals, painted, in your area. And this one, is a bright spot, for people to notice, along the way. -smile-

To answer your question: Yes, the flower in my Header (now) is a peony. But no, it isn't mine. I get such pictures, from the Net.

And right underneath the Header, I put a Gadget... With a tiny size of my Header pic. And the Gadget says "Click the pic, to see the Source."

That is a pretty mural! I used to drive past one when I worked that was at least a block long! All sorts of flowers! I should have taken a picture of it!

Oh how pretty..... I think (?). I'm not sure if I'd want to look at that huge thing on a fence next to my house. Would you, Ginny? Oh well. It's still pretty tho. ~Andrea xoxo

What a delightful post!! There must be so many creative folks in your neighborhood. Maybe it's all that loving that makes them want to go outside and decorate in so many fun and creative ways. Virginia is for lovers and artists too, for sure.

Beautiful mural and one of my favorite songs. It's not one I hear very often, so thanks for jogging my memory.
