Passing a community college on Saturday, we saw this out front.
Driving around the building, we saw even more pink pinwheel gardens.
One red one among the others.
Going inside, we saw even more through the windows.
There were no signs of explanation anywhere. I know that blue pinwheels represent child abuse, but could not find on the web what pink might mean! And it is not breast cancer month, so I am clueless!
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang
trembling,
The wind is passing
through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down
their heads,
The wind is passing by

They're pretty, but I haven't a clue what they're about.
Breast cancer would have been my first guess, other than that I wouldn't have a clue.
A gender gesture? Someone had a baby girl? But the one red one throws me off. (Just guessing)
If you ever find out, let us know.
Pretty but now I want to know what they were for!
I love that little poem about the wind, Ginny. And what a mystery about the pinwheels. Be sure to update us if you ever find out their symbolism. ~Andrea xoxo
Ginny, you always put up something rare and unique! Yes, do let us know what they are for...
Maybe they are in honor of someone fighting breast cancer or someone who lost their battle. Either way, they are very pretty!
I found a lot about flamingo flocking in northern VA.. google that. it is called yard carding. also found this, which shows all the pinwheel flamingos. says its popular in your state. we have birthday flamingos here but not pinwheels

Oh my goodness I love pink too - just makes you feel good.
Eye-catching and looks a lot like some "yard art" that young people I know have decorated acquaintances' yards with.
Fascinating..not sure what it's about but looks quite lovely.

My thought would be a Yard Art gesture ---celebrating someone's birthday --or maybe new baby on the way....
You asked about my heart.... I have no idea about my next step (whether they will remove the growth or not)... My biggest question is "Did it cause my A Fib back in 2018????" My next appointment is not until July -- so unless I have problems (which I am not), I won't know much until then.... They obviously are not worried about it or else I would have heard something?????
Hugs,
Betsy
Whatever the meaning, it's a pretty color.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh....
Soooooo pretty....

What ever the reason, this is very fun! You find the best things to share.
I too have no idea but they are pretty. Nice poem.
Symbolic and I would like to know of what. Loved the poem you chose. It was very windy here a couple of hours ago. All the little whirligigs were coming off our trees like rain.
I like them. Are they homemade?
How pretty. Let us know if you ever find out their meaning.
And I love the poem.
It's a mystery! But a pretty one. xoxo
