The Canada Geese were out walking around the other day, as they do most every day.
We waited while they crossed the street in front of us.
And then one of them chose to sit down, right in the middle of a busy intersection! I hope the others helped it along it's way.
Geese always support
each other. When a goose gets injured two birds always accompany it down to the
ground. Just as geese do, we must support each other.

Where we lived in Colorado there were geese crossing signs along the roads (like deer crossing). They, more or less, had the right away.
Ha ha, I guess when you get tired you just need to rest, no matter where you are.
I sometimes think that animals have more sense and feeling than people.

we only see a few of these geese, and I did see a flock in the road last week, but no one sat down. we have duck crossing signs every where, they were not using the sign ha ha
It believes in squatter's rights.
Its poor legs were tired of walking. Just needed a short rest.
I didn't know two geese help the others. That was a strong willed goose!
Wonderful quote you chose, and the photos are great. The one who sat I just wonder what was going on in its head.
The geese tend to think they own the road. I have seen where long lines of traffic come to a halt, waiting for a goose family to slowly waddle across the street.
Not a good place to sit, Babe!!!! -giggles-

In Pretty Blog Land, we support each other, with our blogging.
And reading other blogs.
And commenting on them.

You asked about my 2nd comment here.
Your quote said... "Just as geese do, we must support each other."
I agree with that comment, about supporting each other. And said, we do that, in Pretty Blog Land, by writing our blogs, and reading the blogs of others, and commenting in them.
All positive.
No feeling on my part, of not being supported.
I'm sorry it was confusing to you.
OK now??????
Hugs, hugs, hugs...
They do take over, don't they? Beautiful creatures
We can learn things from the geese! I love that first photo.
I hope they got their friend to move. Now I'm worried about a goose.
Oh my goodness. How did you all get it to move?
Love the top photo, as well as the quote at the bottom of your post. I did not know that about geese
I live in a city of 70,000 and we all stop traffic when the geese decide to move from the one pond to another pond at a business. They eat the grass along the curbs of the grocery store. We really like them.
What delightful geese crossing the road. They are one of my favorite birds.
They are protective, and their honk is LOUD. I used to see them all the time
in the area that I grew up at. I love the quote you found to go along with the pictures.

It is a felony to harm geese here. A group of high school boys lured some into a parking lot and killed and injured several. Thta must look good on your college apps, felon as I killed geese for fun! Of course, the way the college educational system is today, I imagine those felons will fit right in. The geese obey the laws better than humans that is for sure. I don't care if they are messy, they are God's creatures too.
