A Mystery Before The Storm

A big storm is coming our way tomorrow. Lots of snow during the day, followed by lots of ice during the evening and night. They are predicting loss of power in places, so if you don't hear from me for awhile, you will know what happened. I hope not, we have no alternate source of heat and it is way below freezing.

Meanwhile, a mystery for you. Can you guess what the snowy photo below is? I'll tell you next time.

"No one can mistake that voice— His word thundering so wondrously, his mighty acts staggering our understanding. He orders the snow, ‘Blanket the earth!’ and the rain, ‘Soak the whole countryside!’ No one can escape the weather—it’s there. And no one can escape from God."

Job 37

Oh no, I hope you don't lose power. Will you go somewhere else if you do? Stay safe and warm.
The second picture looks like a bunch of bird tracks.

I am guessing bird tracks, and I think it is a large bird, maybe a Crow? those icicles are gorgeous and I am so happy I am seeing them in the computer and not outside my window... we were promised by weather people we would be getting downpours and thunder storms early am. it came, it went and we did not get 1/4 inch of rain and no lighting. we need rain desperately. our plants are barely alive. hope they miscalculate for you too like they did us

That is a lot of ice. I hope you are safe while out and about.

Swans? Geese? Tracks are always intriguing. I hope you don’t lose power. Stay safe and warm!

Wow Ginny those icicles are crazy. I agree with Sandra about loving to see it in a photo but wouldn't want to be there in person! I sure hope you don't lose power. Please stay safe and warm!

Those are bird tracks of some kind but I am not sure what kind of bird. I hope you don't lose power...that is so awful.
I have heard that you can take an empty coffee can and put a candle inside it to create a small heat source. I suppose if you had several of them it might help a bit. Praying you don't lose power. xo Diana

We are getting snow for the first time since 2014! I am so excited. I wonder if you are - you probably get snow every year. Just be careful with those ice cycles!!!!!!!!
I think they are bird tracks!

So far we've had mostly rain and sleet from the storm. We'll have to see what this afternoon brings.

Looks like little bird feet! I hope you don't lose power and I hope the snow stays away from us!

Looks like hawk feet prints and I also see the "sweep" prints of his wings in the snow too. Getting a bird perhaps? Stay safe, dear friend, in the upcoming storm. I've been watching the news and it's supposed to be very bad. I hope the forecasters are wrong on this one. Holding you close in spirit & love, Andrea xoxoxo

The photo in question looks like lots of bird tracks. Hopefully you are cozy and warm in your home, even during a storm.

I hope you don't loose power and are toasty and warm.
When we get snow we wake up to find them covered in deer tracks.. it makes us realize just how close to our house the deer actually get.

So glad to hear you still have power. That's the next thing on my brother's list for this house - a second source of heat in case of power outages. Those icicles are beautiful. And I absolutely LOVE the quote you shared. It is so special, Ginny. It even brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for sharing it.
You always find the most perfect quotes for your posts.
