Today I was diagnosed with Shingles of the Tri-Geminal nerve, one of the most painful kinds. The doctor started me on anti-virals right away. But there is always the chance of permanent nerve pain and damage. And here I had thought I had an abscessed tooth! Feeling very painful and crummy, and have been in bed quite a bit. I guess I will just post and visit whenever I feel up to it, so if I don't get to your blog as often as usual, you will know why. Thanks so much for your caring comments!!

I’m so sorry Ginny. Hope the meds will give you some relief. I have to ask, have you had the shingles vaccine? The reason I’m asking is because I’ve been thinking I should get that one.

So sorry to hear this. That must be painful. I sure hope your meds do the trick with no nerve damage. I’ve always been afraid of Shingles. I got the shots because I’m a wuss! Get well. I’m telling you, getting old is not for sissies!

oh no, so sorry. I have not heard of these. I assume the shingles are on your face? are they inside your mouth on the outside? I hope they were able to give you something for the pain. prayers for you going up now

I was supposed to get the shingles shots but I am on some anti-inflammatory meds and need to be off them before I get the shots.
