Easter Afternoon

Our family came over today, and we had a nice Easter. I had gotten the girls these mini pinatas, they were so cute! I filled them with candy.

This photo shows you how small they were.

I made a tray of things to nibble on during the afternoon.

I also got a giant cookie.

I also made some Peep kabobs, which I messed up. They did not turn out very pretty. I think I needed different colored Peeps, and more variety in the fruit color. But they ate them all!

It was a nice day, so we went out and played Croquet.

Then the girls got their baskets.

Then as they were leaving, we took pictures. Me with the girls and Phil.

And me with the girls and our son Mike.

My heart sings with the robins in the rain.
For I remember it is Easter morn,
And life and love and peace are all new born,
And joy has triumphed over loss and pain.

You had a very nice Easter, Ginny. Wonderful photos of your family. Those Peep kabobs look festive. And I like your tray of goodies. Those pretzels looks like pastel colors. The mini pinatas are the cutest things. They made me smile because on special occasions, we would go over to grandma's house and she would have a BIG PINATA waiting there for the kids to smash open. Then, the kids would all run for the candy. I was wondering where you got the mini pinatas from? They would be perfect for the young ones.

Ginny, the pineapple fountain was cool. Jess said it's there to welcome the people to their city. And the kids can even go in the fountain. I really want to go visit this old town now. Maybe someday. : )
