Around here, most Rhododendron bushes are purple. And they were beautiful this year! Big and lush.

symbolical of dignity, state, and regal power and is expressive of gravity,
sorrow, and sadness.”

They're gorgeous! I wish we could grow them around here. ❤️
Rhododendron flowers are so gorgeous to look at.
They're beautiful. I saw some yesterday that were huge like these. I remember having them at the house I grew up in. My dad was an excellent gardener and his were really large. I tried planting one and it died.
So beautiful, Ginny!
Pine Mountain in Pineville Ky in the spring is covered in these beautiful bushes,or they were when I was a child. it was breataking even to a 10 year old
I am sure you know too, that in bible times - it was the color of royalty!
The rhododendron in your area are gorgeous.
Those are all beautiful!
The flowering blossom trees DO look purple, indeed. I really like the photo of the tree with all the leaves scattering to the ground, that's so pretty, Ginny. It's so green and lush there too. Purple is my favorite color. There's just something about it that fascinates me.
Happy June!

So pretty. We have LOTS of them around here too, they even grow wild in the woods.
