Wal-Mart Art

This Wal-Mart is in the city of Staunton, where we drive to shop there once in awhile. And I was SO surprised to see this huge mural on the wall of their foyer! It took up the entire side wall, and is a tribute to the city they are in. The painting features elements of the city. I wonder if they will be doing this to all the Wal-Marts?

What a great surprise! It’s lovely to see a big chain like Wal-Mart celebrating local character—makes the space feel more connected to the community. Would be amazing if more locations followed suit!

What an awesome mural that is. Nothing like that in any of the Walmarts around here.

That is beautiful. I wonder if this will be a project Walmart is implementing in all their stores across the country?

That is a fun idea. My brother used to live in Staunton...brings back memories. (I wish he still did. Instead of all the way in California!)

Wow, I like it and I think it would be fun for Walmart to do at all the locations.

This is Chatty/Sandie. I have never ever seen a Walmart with a mural inside it. That has to be pretty awesome. Love it.

Nothing like that here on the West Coast Walmart either.
I love it and all it says about that city.
You made me giggle with the ending quote.

I love that they splashed out with the art. Very, very cool. There used to a little Italian place that did something like this on one of their walls. Very cool to look at.

Happy Weekend!

I was just thinking the other day how I miss shopping at Walmart. It's such a neat store with delightful things, especially around the holidays. The art mural is nice. It looks woodsy.

Have a peaceful weekend, Ginny.
