A Trip To The Grocery Store

We have been stuck in the house for several days, due to snow and ice. Today the sun came out a bit, so we went to get groceries. It was a beautiful trip. There were lots of icicles. These are on our next-door neighbor's truck.

Here is our flag in the yard.

This was my favorite snow-laden tree.

The snow on the berry trees was beautiful. It looks just like Christmas.

There were some pretty things at the store, too.

The undisturbed snow was even pretty. It had fallen in sparkly blue waves, almost like the sea.

“Snow is the earth’s way of whispering silence in white.”

It was nice last winter being stuck in the house when the weather was bad. The snow sure looks pretty there. Love the poinsettias and those log bundles.

I've been thinking about my blogging friends who I know are stuck in a lot of snow right now. Those are some big icicles for sure. Thankful you all were able to get out and get to the store. These are some really pretty poinsettias.

all that Christmas beauty for FREE and also free to go to the store and ride around, that is lacking here. no snow is an of course, but stuck in the house is now 8 months and counting. thanks for the ride around. love those berry trees.

So pretty! I love the red berries in the snow.
We're stuck inside today, had another bad storm overnight and everything is closed.

Glad you could get out and "enjoy it" after having been snowed in for a few days. Here it's been raining + strong winds blowing. Was able to get out for a short walk today though (during a pause in the rain).

Hi Ginny, I love the poinsettia photo, all in a row, making a cheerful bright red display. :-)
I also love the snow on the berry trees.

I'm not a fan of snow, but admit the berry tree is quite pretty. Glad you were able to get out and about to keep from going stir crazy. That's the problem with bad weather, you feel sorta pinned up.

I do think white snow makes you stay silent for a while.
Love the berries.
Love the tree with the snow too.

The brief break in the weather turned a simple grocery run into a small winter spectacle, with your neighbor’s truck icicles adding an almost sculptural touch to the day

Whispering Silence in White ...I love that !
The sow laden tree is gorgeous. Wouldn't it be fun to see giant red balls on it?
Glad you could finally get out to the grocery store.
Brrr and be careful out there.

I love when I see red and white together like in your photos. Very fun. Hope it warms up enough for you to get out if you need to. I was home all day because of the snow too.

Thank you for suggesting Amazon for lights. I saw some snowflake lights at Dollar General and was waiting for a sale but hadn't thought about Amazon.

Much Thanks!

I saw a lot of homeless people around the grocery store.
