I have been tagged by Judy from Thru Squirrel Eyes in a game of Photo Tag. Here's how it works. Go to your first photo album or folder and pick the tenth photo. Then tell the story of it. So here is mine. My husband, Phil, who plays accordian and piano, teaching little three year old Ella the accordian. I did a complete post on this quite a while back, and if you're interested, CLICK HERE. This will tell you why my husband did not want to study accordian growing up, but did anyway. And what instrument some Christians referred to as "The Devil's Box Of Whistles". Ella has her own little music basket and loves all things musical, so we thought it would be fun for her to see Phil's big accordian. She was fascinated. So whether you call it a squeeze box or a wheeze box, she is still too young to know how uncool and archaic it is considered to be. Five people should be tagged by me, so if you would like to participate, please go ahead. And no, we do not like polkas!!

I was hoping to see Ella today. I hope my computer comes this week.
Hey,just stumbled upon your blog, and here wishing you a great weekend, and God Bless, and we must always sing praises to the Lord Almighty,
take care now
Hi Ginny, I think I told you when you did that other post that my brother used to play the accordian . I don't think he ever took lessons --but he was really good. We were a musical family ---and I played the piano and clarinet. My oldest brother played the trumpet...
Great picture for your 'tag'---Ginny.
Hugs,
Betsy
Your photo - and post - reminded me of all the kids (mostly boys) who took accordion lessons when I was a kid. Can't remember one who enjoyed playing the instrument.
That was also evident when we went searching for an accordion player to entertain at a seniors' event - none to be found. Now if I lived near you...
I love accordion music, and have since a child. Growing up, a lady in our church often played her accordion and sang. Recently, at a meeting I attended, our guest speaker played his accordion for us.
It's neat that you and your husband are instilling a love for music in cute little Ella.
What a nice picture and story. Do you think Ella will want lessons when she's a little older?
I don't like polka music on the accordian, but I do like the old hymns we used to sing in church while someone played the accordian. fond memories from your photo and fond memories for Ella when she grows older.
That is such a fun photo Ginny, Ella is showing a real interest in music.
A couple of weeks ago while I was downtown I saw/heard a young man playing the accordion. I think he was a college student and he was playing Greensleeves, he was very good.
Thanks for playing.
Judy
