Darkness & Light

In the dark of the midnight I have oft hid my face,
While the storm howls above me, and there's no hiding place
'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
                       Mosie Lister

This evening, masses of big dark clouds surrounded the sunset, but they made a space around the light and didn't even touch it. In fact, if you only looked at the light, you would not even notice those dark clouds were surrounding it.

"And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."
John 1:5

I have several family events going on this weekend, so will not be around visiting on this Friday or Sunday. Hope to see what you've all been up to on Saturday!

Enjoy your 'family events'!!!! Hope they're all for fun and not too 'serious' if you know what I mean.

And your images...they are spectacular!! And your prose you used is just so perfectly fitting.

Thanks for another wonderful sunset sequence. You're right -- when looking at the light you don't notice the dark clouds at all. Thanks for a great lesson.

How beautiful is the LIGHT to shine forth in the darkness of this world to bring us to the Source of Light that warms us with Truth, that sets our feet dancing with the intense pleasures of the LIGHT bringing our heart to sing the song of Love Light and Life....
You have captured the LIGHT beautifully ...

I love a busy sky - to an extend. We had a Tornado warning last week that scared me half to death and that kind of excitement I can do without - I think it did something to my computer before I got a chance to turn it off and remove the power cord.
Hope you are feeling well, Ginny!

Ginny, I've missed visiting lately. Hope to catch up on all your recent posts soon. This is a LOVEly post!! The photo is so amazing, and the words you chose to go with it very inspiring -- not only the Scripture, but your words, too. When we are surrounded by darkness, if we keep our eyes fixed on Him, we will be filled with His light and glory -- and the darkness cannot overtake us! Thanks much for sharing!! =)
