Centered

A guessing game is what we'll play!
See these flower centers today?
These macro shots I took for you
And they will be your only clue.
This is the center, so where's the rest?
Well, that is what YOU are to guess!
What flower are these centers in?
If you guess it you will win!
There is no prize, it's just for fun
You'll know next post; and now I'm done!

Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle

Bridged

About three of you guessed that this man is not real, and he isn't! He swings in front of the Natural Bridge Wax Museum, beckoning people to come in. He has been there ever since I can remember and maybe he is made if wax, I am not sure. I posted it because I recently heard that Natural Bridge and it's surrounding caverns, hotels and museums are ALL up for sale!! How can you sell a natural wonder? It was once owned by Thomas Jefferson, so I guess if a person can own it, then they can sell it.
There is a little German Restaurant on the way to Natural Bridge that many people stop at. They make homemade German meals and serve them family style, with big bowls on the table.  They feature accordion players and have a nutcracker collection.People around here either hate this place or love it. My header is in their yard.
And last but not least, here is a picture of Natural Bridge that I found on the web, just so you can see what I'm talking about. We live less than an hour away.

“Because I am God, your personal God,
The Holy of Israel, your Savior.
I paid a huge price for you:
all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!
That’s how much you mean to me!
That’s how much I love you!
I’d sell off the whole world to get you back,
trade the creation just for you.”

Hanging Man

Oh good grief, oh my oh my
Who is this man who swings so high?
Is it Halloween, or is he nuts?
It sure must take a lot of guts.
So guess for me, a few will know.
And on my next post I will show.

We All Scream For Ice-Cream

The other day, I saw these balloon ice-cream cones in front of a bank, so cool!!
Earlier in the month, the bank displayed ice-cream origami.
Well, of course all these ice-cream decorations were ALMOST enough to cause me to do my banking there! Because here is a look at my freezer.
But in my defense, there are SOME people who like my freezer just the way it is!

“Age does not diminish the extreme disappointment of having a scoop of ice cream fall from the cone.” Jim Fiebig

I am doing this post to say good-bye to the end of National Ice-Cream Month. Ice-cream can be traced back to at least the fourth century B.C. During Nero's reign, ice was harvested from nearby mountains and held in ice houses, which were deep pits covered with straw. And in the bible, King Solomon enjoyed icy drinks. The first ice-cream parlor in America opened in New York in 1776. In fact, I just finished a bowl of vanilla with chocolate syrup as a bedtime snack. Nighty night everyone!

When you’ve stuffed yourself, you refuse dessert; when you’re starved, you could eat a horse.
