He is giving me the evil eye as we drive past!
The church ladies had free lemonade.
And there were free horse and carriage rides.
This baby was definitely suspicious of the horse and wanted nothing to do with it.
So we come to the end of my very first First Friday! I hope to go to more this spring and summer!
“What’s this I see,
approaching from the desert, raising clouds of dust, filling the air with
sweet smells and pungent aromatics? Look! It’s Solomon’s carriage, carried and
guarded by sixty soldiers, sixty of Israel’s finest, all of them armed to the
teeth…”

What a fun post, Ginny, I just love this! :)
Looks like a wonderful time for everyone. It is so nice after a long winter to be able to get out and about in the evenings.
So wonderful to have First Fridays where everyone can go out and join in the fun or to contribute to the event.
How fun. A nice way to get people out and supporting the local economy. The horse and carriage remind me of Cinderella
I really enjoyed your first Friday and would love to ride behind that horse or just pet his nose.. the Village of the arts had a open air market yesterday similar to this, sales on the sidewalks, music, a fair of sorts. i did not go. did not want to go by myself. should have and now i wish i had
Good Friday is also coming soon.. next week too and I like your first Fridays there... Interesting!
Looks like a fun way to celebrate the warmer weather.
Great pictures. First Friday sounds fun! Love the face expressions of the baby, haha :-)
What a wonderful event to attend!...:)JP
Just the kind of thing I like, as you know... Hope there will soon be more of that kind of events again in my town too!
What a nice idea! Something to look forward to every month!
This sounds like one fabulous idea!!! Sales, open late, free food and carriage rides. All this makes for one very enjoyable outing!!!
Thanks for sharing this Ginny. Also, thanks for visiting with me both at Hootin' Anni's and stopping by to view my "march madness" birds!!!
Hi ginny,...
This is such a neat idea. lots of fun too...I'm guessing? I love how communities do things like this...it's good for the people and for the merchants...
Dear Ginny, Looks like a pleasant way to spend a weekend. xoxo Catherine
Hey...we dont have that here. Sure sound like a good festival
Hi Ginny, it is lovely to be catching up with your posts again. I have missed them. Thanks for the visit and have a great week :)
We have something called First Fridays here too, but they mostly involve bands and alcohol. I used to go, back when I was in my 20s. But now I am old and boring.
This is such a great idea and a real boon to merchants and restaurants. Here, we have First Friday Arts around the square. All the shops are open and restaurants offer specials.
I taught The Baker how to cook!! Both of our boys too.
Best,
Bonnie
