The Persian Ceiling

A couple years ago, we got to see a museum exhibition by Dale Chihuly. It was awesome! And here is only one part of that day, "The Persian Ceiling". How amazing it was! So come, walk under the ceiling with me. I hope you will be as spellbound as I was.

“This inner sanctuary was thirty feet long, thirty feet wide, and thirty feet high. Its walls and ceiling were overlaid with pure gold, and Solomon made a cedar-wood altar for this room.”

WOW, that's amazing. I'm assuming there is light behind it with the shadows it's casting on the walls. It's beautiful

Oh, wow! How beautiful! This is such a romantic and dreamy ceiling :-) I wonder if it's a glass ceiling and the objects are placed above it. Such a splendid art!
P.S. About your comment, the toy is called Trixie 5-in-1 Activity Center and I got it through amazon. It's pretty easy and fun :-)

You have captured his work beautifully Ginny. I saw something similar like this in the foyer of one of the casinos in Las Vegas a few years ago. It was magnificent and I didn't know who created it until a few months ago.

Chihuly does amazing art with glass. A few year's ago, there was a large exhibit at the Garfield Arboretum in Chicago. I've never seen anything like this ceiling though.

Best,
Bonnie
