The Faces

This is part of a museum display of art that school children made. Today I am posting the faces.

This face is composed of written words!

A third grader made this face out of wire.

This face sculpture is made mostly of sequins.

And last but not lease, a sculpted alien head!

“Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.

Tiny House

A local high school had their design & engineering class build a tiny house this year! It sits in the school parking lot. When finished, it will be auctioned off and the money used to make a new tiny house next year. They seem to be all the rage now. By definition, a tiny house cannot be bigger than 400 square feet.

This family even showed off their tiny log cabin in a local parade we attended!

“It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies.”

Memorial Day 2017

Your silent tents of green
We deck with fragrant flowers;
Yours has the suffering been,
The memory shall be ours.

Blue Iris

The iris are blooming here now. I love this soft color. Iris leaves look like reeds, and the middle English name for this was Flagge. This may be why iris are also called flags.

“The People of Israel did everything the way God commanded Moses: They camped under their respective flags; they marched by tribe with their ancestral families.

After The Rain

It had rained on Monday morning, so I knew there would be a beautiful sunset. I was ready! Come and watch it with me.

We often praise the evening clouds,
And tints so gay and bold,
But seldom think upon our God,
Who tinged these clouds with gold.

The Edge Of Glory

Come with us for Anne Marie's grade school graduation this evening! She is a straight A student! We were all there. Jazz says Hi from Phil's lap.

Dara is showing how she learned to curtsy!

Anne Marie's life story is on the bulletin board!

Now the curtain is rising! They sang "The Edge Of glory", "Man In the Mirror", "Stayin' Alive", and many others.

And here she is! She sang a solo!

She's getting her diploma.

Afterward there was much rejoicing!

Here we are, saying goodbye for now!

“You know your way around the faith. Now do what you’ve been taught. School’s out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.”

Colossians 2

Fields Of Gold

Many of the fields here are gold now. They nestle deep down in our mountains, making the valley even more beautiful.

“Paint the wheat fields golden. Creation was made for this! Drench the plowed fields, soak the dirt clods with rainfall as harrow and rake bring her to blossom and fruit.”

Psalm 65

Sitting In The Road

I thought you might want an update on the baby geese. They have really grown! But all the geese have started sitting in the road! They will sit right in the middle of the road. They seem to love it there. Cars have to slow down and honk, and the geese are very slow to move! I wonder why this is?

You can see how much the babies have grown.

And look at this huge one! He is so much bigger than the others! He has started getting his adult feathers. Strange.

As the sun was setting, we left the geese.

“They were so absorbed in their “God projects” that they didn’t notice God right in front of them, like a huge rock in the middle of the road. And so they stumbled into him and went sprawling.”

The Purse & The Rooster

I found a brand new Goodwill this week! As I am addicted a big fan of Goodwill, I was excited! My good blog friend Linda, always posts her Goodwill purchases, so I thought I would too! I got this purse, which looks like new and has lots of pockets. And this rooster basket. The rooster will be pretty in the kitchen. But he is too big for any of my decorative shelves, and I cannot figure out how to use him. I am not very creative. Any thoughts?

“Jesus said, “Don’t be so sure. Today, this very night in fact, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”
