Weird Pumpkins

Here are some of the weird pumpkins I have encountered. First, the white ones. What's up with that? Can you even eat them? I have never seen a white pumpkin pie.

This one is made from a bale of hay.

This man lives a couple blocks away, and grows award winning pumpkins for the largest in the state.

Here is Anne Marie sitting on one.

Last year, I had the girls make a spider and web on their pumpkins. Kind of fun for all their ages.

This pumpkin has been hollowed out and used as a vase.

Little Jazz didn't know that she had it upside down.

We saw this in a store window. A crone pumpkin.

So there is the lot. Weird, wild, and wonderful.

“Our chair a broad pumpkin, our lantern the moon,
Telling tales of the fairy who travelled like steam,
In a pumpkin-shell coach, with two rats for her team!
~John G. Whittier

Those web and spider pumpkins are cute. Now I'll be wondering if you can eat a white pumpkin.

Whenever I see pumpkins that big I think of chemicals and steroids. *haha* What IS he putting on those pumpkins?! And will it get in the food supply?! If your shoe size is all of a sudden size 12, go find the pumpkin man for answers!! :-D

It's a good thing that guy has his pumpkin collection out in the yard. I don't think they would fit through his front door!

I've seen the white pumpkins too. I can't imagine how pale such a pie would look.

I don't think I've ever seen a white pumpkin either! I think you showed that guy that grows huge pumpkins last year didn't you? Seems familiar to me! The girls are adorable!

I see all kinds of pumpkins with gnarly bumps and all but never a white one. Interesting photos you around everywhere. To answer your questions on our church program, we go to a conservative christian church that is non-denominational.We have three services each weekend to serve all the people. You might be able to pick me out in the photo--I'm on the right side--3rd row up. About 8 people from the end, I've got my head down for some reason and wearing gold.

It is wonderful to see that one can have so much fun with pumpkins. I like the one made from straw, so cute! I like the girls' spider and web pumpkins and little Jazz having it upside down. The crone pumpkin is a scary one!

Love the giant pumpkin yard! Is that all on one vine? We grew them by mistake one year when I was a kid. A vine sprouted from our composte pile!
