Oh, Beans! The Presents

Two of our gifts to Anne Marie were rather strange. She is a big Harry Potter fan, so we got her this chocolate wand from the Harry Potter stories. She was very conflicted because she wanted to eat it, but that would destroy it!

But now on to the real fun. We also got her this box of Harry Potter jelly beans. The flavors were awful, such as vomit, dirt, & earwax. The girl's mom had fun putting the beans in their mouth and having them guess the flavor. There were a lot of faces made, along with running back and forth to the trash can to spit them out. Would you be brave enough to try one of these for your grandchildren, all in fun? Which one would you try?

"Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him."
Psalm 34

It would pain my frugal self to buy expensive jelly beans and then spit them out! You two have more generous hearts!

Those are some gross sounding flavors. I'm curious if they tasted all that bad or was it just the though of the flavor name that made them want to spit them out.

I sure as heck would NOT do the rotten egg. Maybe dirt. I used to make mud pies...can't be that different. (jk)

LOL what weird jelly beans! :-D I'd probably try grass and sausage flavors but am not sure about others. The chocolate wand looks very nice. I can understand the conflict :-) Happy belated four birthdays!

I think I would pass on that challenge.

A big No from this corner, too...or I might actually be vomiting! LOL

I think you are a great grandma and grandpa. I have never seen these before but there must have been a lot of giggles and that's what it is all about. I wouldn't be brave enough to try any as I am not a jelly bean fan anyway. Now that chocolate wand, I can understand Anne Marie's confliction. I absolutely LOVE chocolate and that wouldn't last very long if it were mine but what a neat gift :)))
