White Poppies

Yes, there are really white Poppies. Did you ever!! I only saw them once, but had my camera with me. So here they are.

"Taking strolls down memory lane is what white wants from us. More specifically, white inspires us to recall pleasant and uncomplicated times. For most, this provides emotional restoration and healing. The color white is so nostalgic that it brings to mind memories that we never knew we had."

The real name of this flower is Romneya and he belongs to the poppy family!
There are two species in genus Romneya, which was named for Irish astronomer John Thomas Romney Robinson. They are known commonly as Matilija poppies or tree poppies and are native to California and northern Mexico!
Enjoy your day,Ginny!

I didn't know there were white poppies. While they are interesting, I think I prefer the traditional colors.

Are they actual poppies? They have no black centers ...the leaves don't look like poppies either.
