Vivian

Here we are having a Zoom conference today. We look yellow because it was dark out and we had incandescent lightbulbs on. But who is that on the other end?

It is our brand new granddog Vivian! She is seven years old & part yellow lab. Our son & his family have just adopted her, and she is so sweet! She goes to the door and stands there when she needs to go out. They will tell her to get in her bed, and she will go and curl up in it.

Vivian's owner had gotten very sick with covid. When she got out of the hospital, her lungs were so bad that her doctor told her she could not keep her dog anymore. That is when our daughter-in-law read about her story, went to visit Vivian, and fell in love with her. I wish we could go over and play with her!!

Well that sure is as sad story with a happy ending. It’s sad that the owner got so sick and had to give up her dog. By the good training it sounds like she must have been a very good dog owner. But, it is happy that your son’s family was able to rescue the dog and bring her into another happy family. She looks like a very good girl.

While it's sad Vivian's previous owner had to give her up, it's great that Vivian has a good home and will get lots of love.

I have tears in my eyes, tears of joy that your family has a rescue dog and will find how much love they can recieve from an adult dog.. tears of sadness for Vivian losing her owner and for the owner so sick she can't keep her dog.
I hope if anything happens to us that someone will take our beautiful and oh so smart Beau... tell them I said thank you for giving Vivian a home... she is so beautiful, love her already. now they can supply us with dog pics for you to show and tell.

tell them it takes 3 months for Vivian to completely adapt and she will change every single week and get more loving and happy... today is 12 weeks since we got Beau and he is a total different dog than he was the first week...

How sweet of your daughter. What a wonderful thing to do. My Faith is a Lab mix too and does the same thing. This touched my heart.

HOW WONDERFUL!!!!

Giving a loving home, to a loved dog!

How wonderful for both dog and past owner.

Part Lab... Labs are very lovely dogs, when brought up right. And this one, was obviously brought up right.

This has to be the nicest post, I have/will read today!

And it is very much needed.

Joy! All around!!!

The day will come when you are free to visit the children and grandchildren. I personally can't wait for that day.
