Mystery Tree

Well, here I am, none the worse for wear. In th last 24 hours I have had laser eye surgery and knee X-Rays. Not much sleep though, as the nextdoor neighbor is getting fence posts installed this week.

I have never seen this kind of tree in my life. Then this month I saw TWO! These are not leaves, they are thousands of pods! Zillions of them!

I have tried to identify it, but still don't have a clue. Do you know what it is? Here are the leaves, if that will help you identify it.

I’m glad the eye surgery went well…it must be a relief to have it over. I’ve never seen a tree like that.

I have seen these (or similar) in Nebraska. There, they called it lantern tree. But looking it up just now, I see it's called a golden rain tree??! New to me.

We have a Golden Rain tree in our front yard but it does not look like this one it looks more like a mimosa tree the leaves

I'm glad the eye treatment went well and I hope the knee x-rays show no problems. I'm sorry I can't help you identify the tree.

Hooray for that being over! Hope all goes well, with everything.

Not so good, for the fence posts being installed!!!!!

I don't have a smart phone. But our Daughter in Law takes a pic of whatever plant she wonders about. And some Ap. tells her, what it is!!! Magic! LOL

Do you have that Ap. or can you do it? Or find out about how to do it...

Oh no, you've been through a lot the last 24 hours. I hope you heal from the laser eye surgery quickly. This is a very big and beautiful tree. Not sure what kind it is, but it reminds me of Fall with the golden pods. I love the tree quote too. It's so true, and the trees have always held a special place in my heart. Oh, the stories they could tell. ; )

Lovely tree for sure. I was going to call it a golden rain tree too. Not too sure though.
Hope your eye surgery heals quickly and you are back to your bright and shiny self again.
Hope you can rest and get the sleep you need.

So you had laser eye surgery - cataracts? Glad you are okay.
I have a tree I love - it has to be over 200 years ago and is by Kennesaw Mtn. which is where the Civil War was here in GA - bet it saw it when it was just a baby tree.

It must feel good to have the eye surgery over with. I haven't see a tree like that either. Even if I had, I would have had no clue as to its name.

Good to hear that doctor visits went well. I have no idea what that tree is. It looks very interesting. I had a visit to the doctor today and he gave me a cortisone shot in my shoulder. I hope that takes the pain i away.

Speedy recovery on your laser surgery, and from your x-rays. I see those in my not so distant future. Hope you got a good night’s sleep and enjoying your reunion. How lovely!
