I saw this pair of Bluebirds from quite a distance away. That is why the pictures are so blurry. They stayed together, and were so sweet. And for some reason, they made me think of the Paul Simon song Old Friends. Who knows why...
Old friends
Sat on their park bench
Like bookends
A newspaper blown through the grass
Falls on the round toes
On the high shoes
Of the old friends
Can you imagine us
Years from today
Sharing a park bench quietly?
How terribly strange
To be seventy

How pretty they are. I just saw one in my yard the other day for the first time.
They sure made for beautiful photos.
the sweet little love birds are adrorable. I can attest to the fact that is is terribly strange to be 77 even more strange than 70 was, and now 2 year 6 month and it will be very strange to be 80. time is flying faster than blue birds
Awwwwww.... a little Mr & Mrs! Beautiful, Ginny! ~Andrea xoxo
How cute! I don' think we have bluebirds around these parts! I've never seen one!
So nice to think of the bluebirds together - I am going to look up that song.
Guess I went into your spam folder
Sweet...
We don't see them around here. -sigh-
Another matching header and background. :-)
This pair of bluebirds do go together. They look like companions. They are definitely our friends of nature. I saw a mourning dove on my lawn, and she picked something up and flew away, and kept coming back and did the same thing. I am wondering if she was using these things to build a nest? It was sweet to watch it.

The Bluebirds are so pretty, and the poem or song by Paul Simons.
Love blue birds and have a few of them around here as well.
Lovely poem.
I enjoyed your post Ginny, I like that you added Paul's song.
It made me smile.

They are a lovely couple.
They're heartwarming. I've never seen one in real life.
