We saw the cutest little Pied Bill Grebe today. See the bluriness around him? He was in the distance behind a chain link fence. So I had to try and shoot in the squares between the chain links.
You can tell he is a Pied Bill because of the big stripe in the center of his beak.
Uh oh, busted!
“Please your honors,” said he, “I’m able,
By means of a secret charm, to draw
All creatures living beneath the sun,
That creep or swim or fly or run,
After me so as you never saw!
And I chiefly use my charm
On creatures that do people harm,
The mole and toad and newt and viper;
And people call me the Pied Piper.”
Robert Browning – From The Pied Piper Of Hamlin

You really captured this precious little creature! Oh, that Browning! I took a summer class called Browning and Lawrence... quite the experience!
You did good shooting through the fence. Love that last one. I can just hear him saying "Hey lady, what are you doing over there?".
