Purple Reign

First, I will be OFF from blog visiting today. We will be out of town for the day. Meanwhile, we saw these pretty purple and green plants in the garden center. I don't know what they are, but they sure are unusual!

They're "shield" something. My mother had them as houseplants.

This plant is so unusual and pretty. Have never seen it before. It looks like an exotic type plant. You know, purple is my favorite color, so your post got to me right away. It's fun going to the nursery; we see so many different things when we're there.
