Say "Cheese"

Come along with me to The Cheese Shop, owned by local Mennonites. It is old fashioned, with a deli, homemade sandwiches, and all kinds of packages of nuts, candy, flours, trail mix, Whoopie Pies, etc.

A whole wall of cookie cutters

Handmade wooden things

Cookbooks

Handmade aprons & purses

So, did you buy anything?

Wow, what a nice store that is. I would definitely shop there. We have an Amish store not far from here that has a lot of nice things. I haven't been there in a long time.

I would love to browse in this cheese shop. So many goodies in there other than cheese. The aprons and tote bags are delightful. And that nut section! I have a thing for raw nuts, so they would definitely come home with me. ; ) The shop looks clean and organized. Did you buy anything?

Now that is what I call a cheese shop.
If that is near you - you are lucky!

I remember years ago going to the Amish and Mennonite communities in Penn. Their baked goods were so yummy and I loved the homemade items.
Love the quote about Fettucini Alfredo being grown up Mac and Cheese.
Very true

I would have fun shopping at that store. I would most likely buy snacks there and a purse. Years ago when we travelled to PA, we stopped in a town close to Lancaster to visit a friend and family who is beachy Amish. We enjoyed being there and did some shopping. I have one of her recipe books that is good to use at times. I like to make my own desserts, especially cookies. Not now though as our oven quit working correctly and part that was ordered on two days ago may not be put in for 2-3 weeks. I hope it is able to get repaired by next week! Have a blessed week~Becky

I LOVE your cheese shop!!! There's a Mennonite place in Waco called 'The Cheese Cave" and it has lots of shops and such! There IS an actual CAVE where the cheese is kept at a precise temperature...
