The cemetery looks beautiful dressed in it's autumn attire. Most of the trees are bare around here already.
What a beautiful cemetery. There are two cemeteries that I like to visit on occasion. They are both about an hour from me. One is in Concord, MA and is called Sleepy Hollow. Nathanial Hawthorne is buried there along with Henry David Thoreau, Lousia Ma Allcott, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. The other one is in Lowel, MA. and is quite historical as well. There is also Old Burial Hill here in Marblehead which has graves from the revolutionary war.
I was just saying to my husband that cemeteries look so pretty in the fall.

that view of the header is spectacular! what a wonderful place for a cemetery. green trees in summer and all that color in autumn, snow covered in winter. I have a fondness for old cemeterys'. the last photo, did you notice the three spires look like candles in a candle holder. I wish you could visit Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, google the photos. a lot of my family is there, but mama and daddy are outside in the new part, where it is flat, so they can mow over the grave stones. nice but not like the old one

Ginny, your Fall foliage pictures at the cemetery are really lovely. The ones in the previous post as well. You have the most beautiful colors in your area....and you get them all. You know, some people don't like the cemetery, but I find it to be a peaceful place, and I used to visit my mom and dad and relatives and friends all the time in my hometown. I really miss that. I'm glad you got a chance to walk around and take some pictures of this beautiful Fall season.

Thank you, Ginny. That painting is a Thomas Kinkade painting I received many years ago. I loved the white snowy scene also, and now that I'm in an area that gets snow, it's all the more special. It did come with a dark wooden frame, but I took that off and want to get something a bit lighter someday. I've always loved his artwork, and do you know he was from Placerville, which is not far from my hometown? It's my favorite town to visit. : )
