The Dragons

Here in the mountains, people decorate for Halloween big time. The other day we happened to pass this yard while the people were still out decorating. It would have been even scarier if they had fallen off that ladder.

The main attraction seemed to be these big dragons.

Though hard to see, this is a headless horseman.

There was also an assortment of ghosts and skeletons.

Stoned

I loved the way the moss and orange leaves combined on this old wall to make such a pretty picture.

I found this wall interesting because they put pointed rocks on the top. Have you ever seen a stone wall with a pointed top? I guess they want to keep people out.

And this stone wall just made me happy, with the sun peeking over it.

Wheel In The Sky Keeps On Turning

These are my photos of ferris wheels from different carnivals we have taken the grandkids to. This first one is a ferris wheel on a stormy day. Not quite put together yet.

Here is one that changes color in the evening.

And here are the really scary ferris wheels, where the seats turn upside down.

And a fun edit I did.

      To me, ferris wheels are a symbol of summer. Have you ever ridden one? Did you like it?

Mums - The Brilliant Purple

The mums are more beautiful then usual this year, and I have been taking lots of pictures. Here are just the purple ones. I will show other colors as the fall continues. Have you ever grown mums? I can only look. Whenever I buy any, I kill them immediately. I really have tried!

A Sick Visit

I was sick awhile back, and my friend stopped over with this beautiful bouquet and apple pie. I loved just sitting and looking at them both!

Fairy Gardens

As I saw fairy gardens this summer, I would snap them. There seem to be more and more every year.

Apparently fairies attend church.

And even though they can fly, they still like porch swings.
