Enough, Already

Sad to say, this is not the post I had intended to write tonight. Hopefully, I'll do that one tomorrow. This is because we have more pressing matters at hand. Namely, the weather. It's been in the headlines and on T.V. all day. This weekend, we are expected to get more snow than we normally would in a whole year, according to our weatherman. Our area of Virginia has already been declared an emergency, to start getting aid in before the fact. 400 members of the Air National Guard and the Virginia Defense Force are being positioned around the area. They are advising for no one to be out this weekend and to have plenty of water, batteries, etc. Power outages quite possible. The snow is to start in about an hour and last till Saturday night. We just got two feet in December and about six inches on Tuesday. After this massive weekend storm, we are to get more on Tuesday and then more over the next weekend. So the reason for my post is twofold. As you know, I post everyday. So if one or more posts are skipped over the weekend, you will know we are in trouble and have at the least lost all power, perhaps in a shelter. I will post again as soon as we are able. Also to ask for your prayers. Perhaps I can be like Punxsatawney Phil and sleep through this whole thing! I think if we can get till Monday, we'll be fine. Now for my two pictures. This is our graddaughter, as taken by her mom, in the last big snow. As you can see, she's had enough. And our storage shed in the backyard. Picture taken from our bedroom window.

"But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield." Psalm 5:11-12

I sent you an email last night.. Did you get it??? I am truly praying for you and your family. I saw that your area was supposed to get THAT MUCH snow... It's truly scary.

God Bless You all --and keep us posted (if you can).

Your granddaughter is adorable. I hope you don't get as much snow as predicted, but according to the news it doesn't look good for your part of the country. We'll keep you in our prayers.

Your granddaughter is a doll, that is such a cute photo. She looks like she can't quite figure out what that cold white stuff is.

Sunday Sunset

I snapped these from the Target parking lot. The sun had just gone down, but the trees were hiding the very bottom part of the sunset. Life...
