I think they might be purses.
These remind me of this:

The camel is my favorite. I wonder if those T-pins are holding it down? All are wonderfully made but I have no idea what they could be for.

i think purses. thanks for your comment re horses. my husband was the one to be involved in this. no contract, no money just kidness. i sugg. he do a contract, they did a hand shake. husband just stubborn. sunday, no horses in yard, mon. morning one horse. we can't figure how this horse is doing this. rose

Are they compacts? My daughter had a friend whose Mother worked for Estee Lauder and they would issue a new shaped collector's miniature jeweled compact that opened and closed and had a mirror on one side inside. They were issued every year as a keepsake. She had an amazing collection and they looked very much like these.
Perhaps they are snuff boxes? Pretty on the outside but with some 'ugly stuff' inside?
How beautiful, my favorites is the camel and the seal - have no idea what they are, maybe purses or jewelry boxes? but they are sooooo pretty!

They are purses! HAHAHAHA Yes, I cheated. I went to post before this so I already know that answer. I just want to catch up with my comment here. I missed a lot especially this one because I love purses. I am a purse person.
