In yesterday's post, I promised that I would tell you who was watching us while we were watching that spectacular sunset. We thought we were alone, but not really. First these two dogs came into the field. They let us know that the field was their place to romp and play and we were intruding. So we drove away. But on the way out, these two deer appeared from out of the corn, like wraiths. They stood on the path in front of our car and silently watched us. Then they turned and went back into the corn just as silently and gracefully as they had come. The rows of corn were so tightly packed, I don't know how they ever walked into it. The pictures are so bad because the sun had just set and it was getting dark. Had I really even seen them at all? But the pictures prove it, don't they? What only Phil and I knew was that while we were all watching each other, someone else was watching all of us. None of us were ever alone at all.
"From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth - he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do."
Psalm 33:13

Awwwww! That's special! Yes, we are NEVER alone!
What special photos.. all are looking straight into the camera!
So true - God is always watching over us - Thankfully!! Such cute pups! I love that little bull dog face!
PS: I found out that the pups I posted about are golden retriever and border collie mix and that there are five available still. Decisions, decisons... ;o)
It's the dogs verses the deers? I guess your deers are protected so they don't have to flee.
I added the part of the http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10682866
I did the post in the morning, and added when a fellow blogger said she wears it so hunters don't mistake her to be a deer.
The country is horrifed this has happened. How can anyone mistake a person to be a deer. I think she was brushing her teeth at a stream.
That is quite the audience you had observing your photo session. The deer are always a delight to see, don't worry about the lighting.
Que maravilla! unas fotos estupendas! Un saludo.
What beauty! And I love the meanings within.
when i saw the title i was thinking Spooky Story.... these kind of watchers are not spooky at all and I love all of them. especially The Watcher that was watching you watching His Sunset and watching the watchers that were watching YOU. did i get that right?
I love how deer will stop and quietly watch us. I always wonder what they're thinking.
Hi Ginny, I'll bet you get just as excited to see Deer as I do! The pictures of the dogs are adorable - love that Bulldog!
Have a wonderful day today!
They must have thought you and Phil a strange sight... "taking pictures" of you in their mind, no doubt! LOL
Wonderful reminder! We're never alone.
I'm sayin..... I often say 'round here wonder who is watchin' who. We have birds that sit on the window box lookin' in people watchin'. I've caught raccoons with their little paws up to the French Doors lookin' in and Rocky the Squirrel is most curious 'bout what happens inside! Yep, we are always bein' watched by people, critters and most importantly God.
May your day be richly blessed sweetie!!!
I saw a bull dog puppy yesterday. His master was trying to train him to walk on a leash. He had other ideas and had planted his back legs far apart on the sidewalk and refused to budge. Quite the funny sight.
And He knows us better than we know ourselves! He's watching . . . and so are those around us, even when we aren't aware. Great pics, Ginny!
Beauty is in everything around us, just have to stop to watch and ... admired. A greeting.
Beautiful sunset in the post below Ginny, and you captured such alert little "watchers' in the field. Nice photos!
Oh what a beautiful shot of the two deer. How special to see them.

Very cute pictures Ginny.
Ahh, OK, all this while enjoying the sunset- they were gorgeous! Dogs can be very territorial- must of been exciting to see the deer appear out of the corn too! Love those red trees on your new post!!
They're all so adorable! Despite the sun going down, you did pretty well. I'd love to take pictures like that. Of deer, especially!
