Knocking

Not too long ago, we happened to pass this scene. I sure hope someone lets him in! For my next post, I will tell you what we got when we went knocking!

"Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I'll come right in and sit down to supper with you.

Ginny, you find the most unique pics! This is a really powerful one, and so are Jesus' words of invitation!

You found a great scene of the man knocking at the door, and the ideal Scripture to accompany it.

Eerie!! There are no feet. I thought "grim reaper".

I thought of the Grim Reaper too.
To answer your question about my post.
The dungeon is the wine cellar at the castle winery we visited last year. The dragon is an amazing art piece that was shown at the State Fair.
Dawn was from our mission trip to Mexico last Spring.
Hopefully the placard will be temporary. I will probably have some shots to see if that will help.
Hope your other knee won't give you too much trouble.

I hope this was sometime near Halloween Ginny. That's the only time I would be comfortable seeing the Grim Reaper at the door .... maybe. You find some of the best photo ops!

Oh that's funny. And a little creepy. I wouldn't want him waiting outside my house all the time.

What a shot! You have some very interesting characters in your part of our world. I've seen lots of plywood caricatures around here but they are mostly of deer or bear or wild hog. You folks are very creative.

Well Ginny I am speechless...not sure about the shot you captured....awesome eye you have for the not norm activities...but as some of the others...what's with NO FEET....and on the other hand I love the scripture about Jesus Knocking!

LOVE the doors to the church. so beautiful. can we see the rest of the church? looks great from what i can see. hope i don't have to wait to long to find out where you went knocking, why you went knocking and what/who you found by knocking. WAITING and NOT patiently

When someone knocks on our door here, I know that they are wanting to give me something or sell me something... We don't care for those kinds of interruptions...

BUT--when UPS or FedX bring
something to the door and knock, we love answering the door then.... ha

Through the years, I remember going door to door with my church group --inviting people to church... I used to hate doing that since one never knows what kind of response he/she will get when someone bothers to answer their door. Don't think that people do that much anymore... People don't like to be disturbed...

However, if Jesus came to my door, I'd let him in with open arms. Praise God.
Hugs,
Betsy

I also thought this might be a scene that was set up for Halloween. But it is an interesting picture regardless of when it was taken.

Oh my Goodness Ginny...I actually did a double take on this one. I thought it was a real person! I love where you live! Never ever boring. I agree with Glenda, you do really take the best pictures!

Very strange pictures Ginny, If I would just see this in a movie, I would think it was death knocking on the door.

Filip

Love this door - and the man at the door - such a story without having to say any words!

That is Jesus, standing at the door and knocking at our hearts to accept him.

Your Phil is good in so many things, I am sure your grand daughters enjoy his teaching, playing chess and laying bricks. LOL

Love that Scripture - and yes, it was written to believers, wasn't it! In context - Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Thanks Ginny!

Eek! From the Kitchen said it for me! Thought it was a Halloween decoration. Fortunate we are that the verse you chose is of a knock on the door that brings good news.
