Several day ago, we took our granddaughter Anne Marie to a new Sweet Frog which just opened. Sweet Frog is a frozen yogurt chain. They have a wall of yogurt machines and you can run the machines to fill your cup, then choose from dozens of toppings, and many syrups. It is self serve, then it is weighed on a little scale and you pay. Anne had never been to one before and was very excited. So MANY flavors! These are the yogurt flavors she put in her cup: vanilla, chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, peach, watermelon. Plus many toppings and syrups. After stirring it all up a bit and taking a couple bites, she confided in me that it didn't taste good. Duh, ya think? But If we had not let her get this mess, she never would have believed how bad it can taste, so she learned by experience. Don't worry, she had two more cups after this, and only one flavor each time! She was happy, I was happy, and Phil was happy! Sweet!
“Listen carefully to my wisdom; take to heart what I can teach you. You'll treasure its sweetness deep within; you'll give it bold expression in your speech. To make sure your foundation is trust in God, I'm laying it all out right now just for you… Believe me—these are truths that work…”

Computer Update
Our computer guy does not have the flu anymore, but still has an awful sinus infection. He offered to come over, but I am still afraid he is contagious, so we set a date of next Tuesday. I managed to get these pictures from my camera into the new computer, but the pictures will not transfer like I am used to and I am unable to put them in order. So I will still not be posting much, if at all, till middle of next week.

Poor thing.. So sorry that you are having such a hard time getting things working right on your new computer. When we got our new macs, all we had to do was to stick a disc in ---and everything transferred automatically.. So simple... But--that's just how a Mac is!!!! (Sorry!)
Don't think I'd like all of those yogurt choices... Too many choices. BUT your granddaughter learned the hard way, didn't she???? That's how kids learn!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
I think the "sweet" in this post are the wise grandparents who let Anne Marie figure out good taste on her own. I think I might like to visit that shop. No watermelon for me. There are some flavors that are not intended to be in ice cream or yogurt!!
Best,
Bonnie
With all those flavors and toppings to choose from I can see how Anne Marie would have wanted lots of things in her cup. Experience is the best teacher.
Sorry the computer still isn't up to speed, hopefully your computer guy will be better soon. I love all the photos you posted Ginny.
Hi Ginny I love these placed. We have one less than a mile from our house. Same idea. Different name. Ours is called Brain Freeze.
Hope your computer thing solves itself pretty soon, these things are so frustrating.
And there are so many flavors and colors, it looks an absolutely treat for Anne Marie!!
No wonder she is so happy!
Have a great day Ginny :)
The light shade is very interesting. Love frozen yogurt when I was in Hit Singapore. Never bought them here.
You and I belong to the same generation, that thing called eagles nest is too dangerous, but the kids love it.
Hope you solve the problem with your computer!
She is so sweet: i wold like all those flavors too.
One can see how happy she is... Lovely child.
Thank you for sharing this lovely moments.
God bless you.

Very cute photos of Anne Marie creating her yogurt cup! It would be hard to choose a favorite flavor. Hope you have a nice day, Ginny.
Smart to allow her to make her own choices. That's how they learn about the world.
We have a Sweet Frog opening up here too.
Our Little Man loves the Frog!! They love to do it themselves! LOL! Life lessons come at all ages. blessings ~ tanna
This looks like a wonderful place! Glad Anne Marie was given the opportunity to learn a lesson.. And that she was able to enjoy more of what she liked. She is a doll!! I'll bet your excited about getting your computer up and running... Have a great rest-of-the-week Ginny.
Isn't that just like our Heavenly Father, to allow us all the what we think are "goodies" to enhance an already "good" to just find out all the goodies on the goods is nasty! :0)
i wish wish wish i was there there there to help you...take some time off and forget blogging until next week, a little r and r and another trip to the sweet frog. the little girl staring into the camera is much sweeter than her "concoction".. never heard of a yogurt buffet but I am FOR it 100 percent.
Stinkin' computer problems anyway! I don't blame ya one bit with the flu stuff. I'd be like...don't have it...don't want it!
Your pics are wonderful anyway.
What a fun place to go with the grandkiddos, we don't have anything like that 'round here.
'Guess little Anne Marie learned a valuable lesson too!!
God bless ya and have yourself an amazin' day sweetie!!! :o)
She must have a hollow leg, where in the world did she put 3 dishes of this stuff. Kids amaze me at how much they can eat.
Hope you will be back with us soon.
Yuk!!! What a concoction! Anne Marie truly learned a valuable lesson. Computer woes! Thank goodness most are fixable. Hugs. LJ
Sounds like too many choices for a little girl. I'm sure she will remember this experience.
Ouch! Will still be here when the computer woes cease! Don't grind your teeth too hard!
"Sweet" chronicle of Anne Marie's learning adventures in the realm of what tempts and what assaults taste buds. You and Phil are wonderful guides in her hands-on adventures. Thanks for sharing. This grandma loves a glimpse into grandkid adentures, those of my own and other people's grands!
Happy to see you trying to post anyway.
The Yogurt choices can be interesting. You were such good grandparents to let her experiment and find out for herself.
Wisdom.
Ahhh! Ginny, you and Phil are teaching that grand-daughter about life. She's very pretty and looked so happy in all the pictures. No "Sweet Frog" here yet...but I wouldn't be surprised to see one at any time.
This looks just like our place here called The Orange Leaf. Soooo goood!
My favorite is Birthday cake with kiwi on it...Looks like a fun time was being had...
hugs.
shug
Your granddaughter certainly has fun. Very good pictures.
Greetings,
Filip
I think Anne Marie was the sweetest thing in the shop that day. I love the pictures of her making her concoction. That smile is precious, too.
It's good to have you back.
Computer problems are NO fun....hope things get up and running very soon. And I hope your computer guy starts to feel better....no fun for him either.... Fun times at the sweet store! YUMMY! BTW -- my snow is almost gone again too....sad face....
Oh my that combination does sound horrible. At least she learned to do one scrumptious flavor at a time :)
Wow, your grandangel looks like she was having funfunfun! So many choices!!
Have been missing you on here! Sorry you've had such a time of it with your computer!
I love how you just let her figure it out herself..I am just beginning to be able to do that..it takes more self control on my part to let them alone...i am learning though...
i am also your newest follower..pls follow back if you can.
I know she must have fun with you!
Oh my . . . what a "sweet" place! I would gain weight just walking into the store! We don't have these yogurt stores near us - probably a good thing!
I do not blame you at all - I don't want to catch things either as it goes right to my chest. So better to wait.
Looks like you have a yoghurt of a good time.
We have one too but with a different name and very $$$!
Looked good though.
sandie
I think that I'd like to be a kid again and get taken out for ice cream (or yogurt)! Oh to have had all those choices...I remember vanilla, strawberry and chocolate were it back then!
Hope you get your computer fixed next week! I'd have put it off too.
Lovely images of Anne Marie...good she fond out on her own that too many flavours spoil the taste-buds!;) Interesting place too. We don't have that kind of place here...not with yogurt.
Hello Ginny, I have been away in Thailand, and now home once more..
Gosh, I would love to visit that place and so would my hubby Ray, we both have sweet teeth. Your granddaughter Anne Marie must have enjoyed that.. All those toppings! I hope she wasn't sick later.
Yes Gods Word is sweetness to the heart and soul.. xxxxxxxxxx
Ahhhhhhhhhh, that Anne Marie is too darling for words. And you did good but letting her choose to her heart's content and then finding out that being in error is only a lesson in life. You did good.
I can understand your concern over 'contagions'...it's difficult to stay away from them, but necessary to avoid them if you KNOW it could infect your domicile. Truly. No need to welcome them thar germs when you can wait 'til later.
Loved the smiles and loved your photo too Ms. Ginny!!! Great post.
I want one of those lights, so pretty - I love the shadows you captured also. You were so wise in letting your sweet granddaughter make her own choice and learn from it! God is always doing that with me but sometimes I'm not as smart as she was! Love your Scripture, as always!
You did a good job while waiting on the geek friend...Looks like fun ice cream
Very pedagogical of you! :)

Guess how I first managed to read your computer update: "Our computer does not have the flu anymore, but still has an awful vinus infection." -LOL- I think I'd better get off my own machine for today and rest my eyes...
Reminds me of those "graveyard" soda drinks where all the flavors get poured into one cup. I never could understand why kids liked those!! I never did!
Anne Marie is sooo beautiful. So glad you all had such a good time. Did she take the picture of you or did Phil? It's great!!
xo
What a huge number of choices! Your little granddaughter looks pretty happy.
Oh my goodness, I want a treat like that AT a place like that....looks like so much fun and boy did your grand-daughter look like she had the routine down! she is such a cutie...
That looks good, but not all mixed together. Yes, sometimes we just have to figure things out for ourselves, don't we? :)
I hope your computer problems will be all cleared up very soon!
I gave you a blog award today too if you'd like to stop by! :)
What a fun place! You were kind to let her mix them all together. Sweet grandma!
I see two sweet smiling faces!
Hope all works out with your computer Ginny. We all miss you!!!
I love the light pics...pretty!
You are a very good grandmother to let Anne learn a lesson the hard way, Ginny, and then help her make better choice the second time around. I like this yogurt shop! What a clever idea to have self serve, and it is such a pretty place!
Hope your computer is fixed soon!
Ginny, I think you are wonderful grandparents to let Anne learn by experience since you most likely knew it was not going to taste good even to a child and she would not eat enough to hurt her little tummy. I love her big huge smile, she is such a delight Ginny. One question, we have this type of yogurt franchise here in FL. We have not been but my daughter in Lakeland took her daughter who is 8 and when they went to pay it was really expensive. I believe she said the topping were "heavy" and jacked up the price. Did you find your location to be expensive for a cup of yogurt? Just curious. I could look at that little face all day. What a blessing she is. Heck I just want to reach out and hug her. You look great Ginny and yes happy. Did you have yogurt?
Oh, what a mess...but it probably taught her more than you know.
Hope your computer is done by now....
