“On the twenty-fourth day of the first month I
was standing on the bank of the great river, the Tigris. I looked up and to my
surprise saw a man dressed in linen with a belt of pure gold around his waist. His body was hard and
glistening, as if sculpted from a precious stone, his face radiant, his eyes
bright and penetrating like torches, his arms and feet glistening like polished
bronze, and his voice, deep and resonant, sounded like a huge choir of voices.”

I was thinking along the same lines as I scrolled through your photos Ginny. If a guest got too unruly it would be easy to strap them to the chair until they calmed down.
You do find some of the most interesting things.
This reminds me of dining with Henry VIII. Not that I've ever done that.
Best,
Bonnie
Oh, wow...interesting, but definitely not the look for me!
I love it. But it looks a tad uncomfortable with the belt buckles. If you moved just a bit.... :)
Not my fav style, but interesting nonetheless!
Those are interesting, Ginny.
So unusual...these chairs
where ever did you find this, awesome way to recycle belts but for sure would not fit your decor... maybe you could collect pastel ladies belts ad make one for yourself, or hire the Adams family to make it for you... bet they could think of lots to do with all those belts.
Really "belting" them out on the chairs... Addams family.. yes, I think I have seen their series before last time...
WoW! What a great idea for that broken chair at the cabin - and use for all the old belts that are now too big for me! Made me smile to think of how creative people can be. You, Ginny, have that artistic eye!
What a creative and decorative way of recycling! :)
Hi Ginny, Clever! It is a high-design way to reuse old belts, that's for sure. Have a really nice weekend! Wildlifewatcher
These chairs are definitely unusual. I'm not sure how comfortable they would be with the buckles and other ornamentation.
Those chairs are amazing. Oddly enough, they remind me of the antique chair I got from my grandmother whose seat is made of some type of woven string.
You constantly amaze me. Where do you find all these unique pictures? NO I wouldn't want a dining room set like that.Doesn't look veery comfortable.
It also wouldn't be something for my living room but a good example of reclyling.
Greetings,
Filip
Hi Ginny . . . I can see that furniture in a rock stars home . . . but not my style. On the other hand it is very interesting to see into the creative minds of other people.
In regard to the comment you left on my resent post:
yes they are my drawings . . . it's what I do in the evening, while watching TV with my hubby.
I can get through a show like Axe Man, or Ice Road Truckers, just fine, if my mind is into my art, LOL.
Have a joy filled weekend:)
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
oh my gosh! I kind of like it..but not for me, for someone else...and as always, LOVE the way you can find a Scripture correlation for everything under the sun!
happy weekend!
Very unique.
I hope you didn't think I was lost. I just need longer days, Ginny. Those chairs are something else! You asked about more dishes. I have one or two more that I can share, but many of the others are just too heavy for today's tastes. Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings...Mary
Fascinating post and photos, Ginny! I kind of like this look. :)
Hmmmm you do find the coolest things to post!
Blessings, Joanne
These chairs looks cool, but must be a little uncomfy with the belt buckles.
Enjoy your weekend.
Eva
AMAZING! I had never seen such thing...Well done.

Interesting. I didn't even know you were back blogging. It's good to see you back. Now I'll have to go back and see what I've missed. :)
WOW - this is an incredibly unique idea!
Really different! Happy Saturday to you!

I think I'll stick to my wooden chairs.
They are not for me and I love eclectic things! LOL I bet Adams Family would love them!
Not too crazy about this, G. Can you just imagine the marks that would be left on one's hiney?
Where do you find the unique things you share?
