Here is an old Coke bottling building downtown.
Here are earrings made from Pepsi and Teem caps.
Here is my necklace with a pendant made from a Coke cap. You can buy many different designs of the pendants and switch them around, the round circle on the necklace is a strong magnet that the metal cap sticks to.
Here is our granddaughter the first two times she ever tried Coke, once as a baby, then again when she was a little older.
I find these around town and think they look like Coke caps. Can you tell me what they really ARE? If you get it right I will list your name on my next post.

never thirst.”

Poor guy - can't win! Did a great job and these old signs are artwork! Your granddaughter is cute - soda up the nose tickles!
I hate red tape. Why can't they just let the guy do what he wants. Restoring the painting on the building is a plus in my book.
I'm going to say those things look like man hole covers of some kind
Those signs are a part of our Americana. I say people should leave him alone . Those pics of your granddaughter are so sweet!
Blessings, Joanne
There is always someone trying to run everything now days. I think it should be preserved.
That Coke bottle is art. Just ask Andy Warhol. I think those are steam outlets and/or sewer covers. Or man hole covers. Here's a question for you: Why are man holes called man holes.
Best,
Bonnie
Ah--that old stinkin' red tape. I love that old sign.. It is truly historic art...
Cute picture of your granddaughter. Mercy--how she has grown...
Are those manhole covers?
Hugs,
Betsy
The coke sign definitely sould stay.
Your granddaughter is so precious. Those coloured things must be some kind of covers on the street, but I don't know for what.
The city fathers need to stop being so anal and work with this man. He is restoring the artwork not adding something new. If that's what was on the building in the 30s or 40s it should stay.
Looks like the bubbles in the Coke tickled Anne nose. She is so cute.
I'm guessing steam vents too.
Did your granddaughter like the coke the first time she tasted it? I couldn't tell. We have a LOT of Coke things here in GA! And I think they are manhole covers.
oh my...your granddaughter is really adorable.. I feel like giving her a BIG hug! :)
I imagine that the 'red tape' is more to justify their jobs. Government officials like to flaunt their ability to keep American business owners from doing what they want. As far as I'm concerned, the owner has every right to do this. It's a work of art...he did a super job.
And your granddaughter drinking Coke, for the first time...reminds me of my baby nephew drinking Mountain Dew for the first time...he giggled like crazy...the bubbles 'tickled his innards'...as the commercial 'said' back long ago. BTW, she's such a doll!!!!
There is always some politicians trying to tell us what to do. They need to get a real job and leave people alone.
What a beautiful picture of you and your granddaughter!
i love the ways she is all scrunched up and that smile is worth a million... she is so precious...and she has grown so fast since that pic. i like the old signs on the buildings, and each city or county has their own ordinances. i love to see the old signs restored or left like they are.... pieces of history.
and on that i saw on TV this morning there is NINE spoons of sugar in one coke and that the sugar goes into the blood stream really fast, unlike sugar in food or fruit. not that fruit is not food, but cakes and things.
forgot to guess they look like manhole covers that are painted in easter egg splendor. but why is the question
The look on your granddaughter's face is priceless!!! They look like manhole covers to me, but, hey, I'm old!...:)JP
I love these images - especially of the Coca Cola building.
ps...yes, to answer your question on my tuesday's comments...the seeds are the only edible part of a pomegranate.
Does Anne-Marie still have the same reaction to Coke? Perhaps she's a Pepsi fan. I think the ban against that old wall mural is nuts, but then I'm not a politician. I think your mystery covers are caps over underground gas tanks at service stations.
They look like manhole covers.
I say that old signs are artwork and should be allowed.
I thought they looked like manhole covers too.. But I wonder why they are different colors?
Anne Marie is precious beyond words!!
Pepsi is my soda of choice... but I don't drink much soda any more. Maybe once in a great while I'll indulge.
Your granddaughter is just the cutest!
I think the last photo shows a manhole cover beside the yellow cover. I'm guessing these are covers for some kind of pipes, maybe a gas line?
I like coca cola and I like going to the extreme with hobbies. I once consider starting collecting cola cans but my wife said, over my dead body. She knew the house would be full with these empty cans and I would just love it.
Greetings,
Filip
I love the pictures of your granddaughter Ginny, what a funny transition. Oh and those colored disks you see around town/ Those are deflated flying saucers. They also shrunk because they were so disappointed that they were replaced by a newer, spiffier model. Now you don't have to wonder any more :)
Red tape drives me crazy. Seems like everyone would be thrilled for the update.
Your gd is cute as can be with the Coke!
Some great memories here, Ginny. Thank you for sharing.
Nifty guessing game. Read the answer as I read down to this post.
The coke mural - really?! It's historic. Grandfather the darn mural in.
Sweetest pics of the g-girl. Like I said on Facebook - she looks like she is having a party in her mouth. Absolutely adorable.
She is such a doll...love her expressions.
