Atomic Bomb Sunset

This evening on the way home from church, a very dark cloud covered us! Once we got out from under it and could look from a distance, it looked like a bomb cloud.
As we drove closer to what had looked so frightful, something beautiful came out of it. It was the sun and it was setting.
Golden in it's beauty, it was taking away the black, and the fear. So the bomb that really dropped was the sun itself.

So bleak is the picture... that the bulldozer and not the atomic bomb may turn out to be the most destructive invention of the 20th century. ~Philip Shabecoff

“I will sing for joy in God, explode in praise from deep in my soul! He dressed me up in a suit of salvation, he outfitted me in a robe of righteousness…”

wow, isn't this amazing!

It does look like that. As awful as an atomic bomb would be, the photos that come from it are incredible. But I don't want one to come just for that reason. :(

Oh that was a scary cloud. Reminds me of the explosion recently in West, Texas. There were similar pictures taken that day. Glad it turned into a beautiful sunset!

Ginny, you get THE BEST sunset pictures. That cloud is a fantastic sight, even without the sunset, but the setting sun puts the icing on the cake.
