Jesus said, “Mark my words, no one who sacrifices house,
brothers, sisters, mother, father, children, land—whatever—because of me and
the Message will lose out. They’ll get it all back, but multiplied many times
in homes, brothers, sisters,
mothers, children, and land—but also in troubles. And then the bonus of eternal
life! This is once again the Great Reversal: Many who are first will end up
last, and the last first.”

Living Rooms And Kitchen
Here we are at the last three rooms of The Walton's house. The living room, great room, and kitchen. The kitchen/dining room was so long that I had to take a picture of each end. I could not get close or walk around to snap small details because each room was roped off. I'm sure they didn't want people disturbing and moving things. Next post will be a mystery picture!

Those rooms look enormous but then there were a lot of members of the Walton clan. I love that old stove.
The one thing that sticks out in my mind when I think of the TV show is that huge table where everyone sat to eat. I'll bet this tour was so much fun!! Thanks for sharing, Ginny.
I love the huge table with the benches, we need to get one here.
its beautiful, I could live there!I would love to tour this home!
love that kitchen, and that long table. we had a curtain hanging under our sink for many years.
The living room and kitchen are almost exactly like on the show. A show that I love to this day. In fact, I gave my daughter-in-law the original movie for Christmas as she didn't know the Waltons.
You asked about The Baker. He has some improvement. Fortunately, my WONDERFUL young cleaning lady is able to give me an extra day this week and is here this morning taking over his chores. I'm calling her Florence Nightingale!!

So glad you visited there and shared it with us... As I've said, I loved the Walton's and had no idea the original family was from the Blue Ridge in VA... That is awesome.
Hope you are having a good weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

What a gorgeous stove!
These rooms ares as charing as the rest of the house.
In the third picture I saw that little round table with 4 chairs and thought that's not the Walton's table...lol
Oh what lovely rooms! I love the wood furniture and the stove looks very interesting. Very different from what we have now!
I'm surprised at the first three - for their house - but I just loved all this journey into the Walton's. Thank you so much for sharing Ginny! Have a good weekend. sandie
Wow, I would love to see this in person. Loved the Waltons as I grew up.
I remember seeing the kitchen on tv, and always thought it was so big....keep the photos coming..
A wonderful tour Ginny. Beautiful captures. I love your mystery picture, waiting for it! Have a nice day :)
How fun Ginny! Who wouldn't want to see this place!
This is a fascinating glimpse of the 'Walton' house. My grandparents had a kitchen stove like the one you've pictured.
