Think To Blink

Do you know what CVS is? No, I'm not talking about the pharmacy, I'm talking about Computer Vision Syndrome. If you spend a good bit of time on the computer and have problems with your eyes, like being tired or itchy, it could be that you are not blinking enough! Normally, we blink about 18 times a minute. But when we look at a computer screen, we blink almost 70% less. And then your eye muscles become dried out and tired. So after every 20 minutes of screen time, close your eyes for 20 seconds, they will get the moisture and rest they need. It is the 20/20 rule! So remember, think to blink! This is a picture of Anne Marie three years ago when she was learning to wink. I snapped my header from the T.V. screen.

“When I determined to load up on wisdom and examine everything taking place on earth, I realized that if you keep your eyes open day and night without even blinking, you’ll still never figure out the meaning of what God is doing on this earth. Search as hard as you like, you’re not going to make sense of it.”

Anne Marie's wink is so cute.
I didn't know about CVS. Sometimes if I'm on the computer too long my eyes will get tired so I go do something else for awhile.
Your header shot is very cool.

I didn't know that. Perhaps that is why I got glaucoma from spending 30 years working on a computer.

I find my eyes needing more and more computer breaks. It's a bit frustrating at times.

Sounds like good advice. I should probably do it even more often than every 20 minutes...
