There is a little German Restaurant on the way to Natural Bridge that many people stop at. They make homemade German meals and serve them family style, with big bowls on the table. They feature accordion players and have a nutcracker collection.People around here either hate this place or love it. My header is in their yard.
And last but not least, here is a picture of Natural Bridge that I found on the web, just so you can see what I'm talking about. We live less than an hour away.
“Because I am God, your personal God,
The Holy of Israel, your Savior.
I paid a huge price for you:
all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!
That’s how much you mean to me!
That’s how much I love you!
I’d sell off the whole world to get you back,
trade the creation just for you.”

all of Egypt, with rich Cush and Seba thrown in!
That’s how much you mean to me!

I knew the man wasn't real but you stumped me on the location! I've not been in the wax museum but have been to the bridge many times. I've seen that restaurant. I think it's on the road that I take to get to the interstate from Stuarts Draft.
Best,
Bonnie
I used to work in a restaurant with uniforms similar to those.
what a great restaurant!! The food sounds good too! The natural bridge is amazing, I would love to visit there!
that natural bridge is awesome. i would snap myself silly. maybe the owners are tired of dealing with tourists... never really thought about who owns something like this.. and now i wonder who owns it. Phil looks like he is havig a good time
I just pray it's bought by an American! SO much of our land is being bought up by foreigners...so sad what is happening to our country...
hughugs
Eidleweiss...that is white flower in German.
Loved this share today Ginny. Anything of historical value is deemed a worthy blog post. If only I had mega millions. I would buy it.
Yesterday you asked: "So there really was a Popeye and this story is about him?"....no, he isn't the 'real' popeye.
Wow he looked real in your last post! The German restaurant looks lovely. I love their beautiful yard. I've never been to a restaurant that features accordion. Must be fun!
Hi Ginny Well at lest I knew he was not alive. I wondered if you thought he was wax, would he not melt in a heat over there. I loved the last shots the best.
Natural Bridge is just under an hour from us too. I have never eaten at that German place. I don't care for German food much (well, I do love cabbage - just not all that sausage business). I bet my husband would like it though.
We recently went to Natural Bridge - KENTUCKY! Who knew they had one too!
Space ice cream is in a foil packet, and is not cold. It's a little square of chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. You break off pieces and it dissolves in your mouth and tastes exactly like ice cream!
You know Ginny - I wonder how they can sell that too. We have some German areas about an hour and half from here - but none close - I love German food - do you? sandie
oh wow, that natural bridge is amazing. I would love to see that. Sounds strange that they could sell something like that
So are you and Phil the kind of people who love or hate that German restaurant?
I suppose there are lots of attractions on private property but it still seems odd to see one up for sale. I love German food
The fountain is one I bought for the kitties a few months ago. It's stainless steal so it can go in the dish washer for cleaning. They love it.
I love that natural bridge! I take it you guys like the restaurant???
Hi Ginny, Looks like a very fun place for a tasty bite to eat! My kind of restaurant. Have a great day tomorrow!
A wax museum...i would never have guessed. I sure hope you will take a drive to the natural bridge...it is amazingly beautiful.
Natural Bridge is such a neat place! I've never been to the wax museum. We were with the school kids on a field trip, and that wasn't part of the day's plans.
Why would anyone not like this place? Just looking at these pictures is enough to inspire a love-fest.
I would love to visit there! So beautiful!
