Welcome To The Thunderdome.

Welcome to the July full moon! It is the full buck moon, or the full thunder moon. This is because there are more thunder storms in the month of July. And I'll tell you a secret...I snapped all of these the day before the full moon, because the next day it was impossible. As you can see, there were many clouds and the moon was going in and out of them. It really was shining though! And for once, nothing dangerous happened to us on our moon snapping trip! Notice the little birds in the second picture?

“He makes the moon wax and wane, putting it through its phases. He draws the horizon out over the ocean, sets a boundary between light and darkness. Thunder crashes and rumbles in the skies. Listen! It’s God raising his voice!”
Job 26

Yes, yes...yes. I did see the feathered friends flying across the sky in the image.

You always manage to startle us with the beauty that surrounds you. That's why I so enjoy visiting here.

number 4 is my favorite, a spooky moon... it really has been bright, we can see the bottom on the pool at 4 am, still dark and the moon shines right in the pool like a flood light... glad you had a safe moon shoot.

Those are some amazing shots of the moon Ginny. But I was sort of expecting Aunty Entity to say Welcome, to another edition of Thunderdome! LOL!

I'm glad to hear this photo session was uneventful for you and Phil.

You got wonderful pictures of the Thunder Moon, and I'm glad you got these photos without anything bad happening. I tried to get some pictures of the moon a couple of nights before the full moon, but they weren't as good as yours.
