A Kaleidoscope

Now to what I saw in the Mimosa. A huge kaleidoscope! Did you know that kaleidoscope is the word for a group of butterflies? There must have been hundreds, swarming the tree. Each one would land on a blossom for only seconds, then flit away. This left me no time to focus the camera! So I did the best I could. I could not get the entire group because they were up so high in the tree, with the blinding sun.

I would say you did pretty good getting pictures. That must have been some sight. I had no idea that a group of them was called a kaleidoscope. I thought this post was going to be about something completely different

Wow, they are very pretty! Your photos are gorgeous - you captured busy butterflies so beautifully. Didn't know they were called kaleidoscope. I loved my kaleidoscopes (as in tube form) when I was child :-)
