Truthfully, I did not take these pictures THIS August. They were perhaps last August. But what better time to post them?

well an August moon is still an August moon no matter what year it was taken :) You always get the most amazing pictures of the moon.
beautiful no matter which august you took them and they look like mushrooms to me, draw the stem is all is needed.
Makes no difference when...they're stunning images Ginny.
Great moon shots... Some of my August pictures from years past are just like this years.... August is August!!! BUT--here on the Cumberland Plateau in TN --we have had an extremely hot summer and it's been SO SO SO dry.... Our flowers are suffering this year --even though we are watering them.... I am SO ready for FALL.
Hugs,
Betsy
Beautiful photos of moon from past year! Color of the sky is incredible - I love the contrast to the color of the moon!

I always love and enjoy your moon photos. Have a beautiful day!
It is still August regardless of the year.. hahahaa... Nice shots you took, Ginny! Thumbs UP!
I love the texture in the photo.
I am glad that these are from last year because I was sure the full moon had not happened yet this month. It messes with my head.
Hi Ginny, I came back to answer your question about the bee shot. I was practicing with a macro lens, one I haven't used in a while. I cheated a little. The bee was co-operative and stayed long enough for me to line him up carefully (after a few tries that is). I waited for one to land on this particular flower as there were so many bees, and sure enough this one turned up. The photo was a bit further away but I cropped close to the bee and this is the result.
By the way, your header shot is amazing! I only looked at your moon shots but focused on the header just now. Fantastic photo!
